Evoto allows you to crop the picture in three different types, fixed ratio, free sizing, or input size. After finishing cropping, click OK in the lower right corner to save the cropping result.
Original – You can select the original size as how you input into Evoto.
As Shot – The size of how the picture has been shot.
Fixed Ratio – You can enter the ratio (enter the fixed width and height value) you would like, to move and crop the picture.
W * H * Resolution – Enter the fixed width and height with resolution to crop. Unit Inch is now available for W * H * Resolution cropping.
We also provide different standard sizes for you to choose from.
Image Dimensions: W*H*Resolution input box in AI Headshot Cropping section.
AI Face Locate: Set face position settings
Head Area: Two options: "Face (Chin to Top of Head)" - default, and "Face + Top". Face: Face + Hair Face + Top: Face + hair + hat or other hair accessory
Top Margin: Refers to the proportion of the distance between the top of the head and the top of the photo.
Head Size: Refers to the proportion of the head size in the photo.
Horizontal Face Position: The center of the face is the origin, defining whether the face is at the horizontal center point of the cropped image. Default is 50. At 50, the center of the face overlaps with the horizontal center of the image. At 25, the left side of the face is close to the left side of the image. At 75, the right side of the face is close to the right side of the image.
In "AI Headshot Crop", if the number of people in the image is greater than one or the face's tilt angle is greater than 75 degrees, this function and its submenu options are grayed out.
Image dimension settings and face position settings cannot be empty.
When setting the face position and proportion, the crop frame will be limited by the face and the corresponding image size. When the slider value exceeds the allowable range, it will automatically bounce back to the allowable threshold.
When the crop frame is moved or resized beyond the range where the face can be calculated, the entire face position module will be grayed out. When the mouse is released, the crop frame will bounce back to the initial position.
Edge Cases:
When synchronizing settings from Image A to Image B, the following situations need attention:
Face Tilt in Image B Exceeds the Threshold
No Face or More Than One Face in Image B
In these two scenarios, cropping will not be synchronized.
When the values set in Image A are synchronized to Image B and exceed the effective range of Image B, cropping will be done according to the threshold values that Image B can achieve.
Crop Preset:
Click the "Save" button to save the preset. This setting will be saved as a preset parameter, following the same process as saving a regular cropping preset.
For AI headshot photos, there will be two entries for saved presets: one in the drop-down menu for AI Headshot Cropping and another in the drop-down menu for My Crop Preset. When a user deletes the preset from the My Crop Preset drop-down menu, it will also be removed from the AI Headshot Cropping menu.
( 🆕 version 3.7 🆕 ) AI Correction
Clicking the "Auto" button enables AI horizon correction.
The "Auto" button turning yellow indicates that the feature is enabled.
Rotate
Evoto supports counterclockwise and clockwise rotation, and horizontal and vertical flips are also available for the picture. Use the slider to adjust the angle, and it supports +45 and - 45 degrees adjustment.
Rotation: Adjusts the horizon according to the rotation direction.
Clockwise/Counterclockwise Rotation: When you click "AI Correction," the AI will intelligently calculate the optimal horizon value based on the rotated image.
Mirroring: After mirroring the image, "AI Correction" recalculates the correction effect based on the new horizon orientation.
Angle Slider:
Each time the user clicks "AI Correction," the slider value resets to the AI-calculated result.
If you want to synchronize AI correction independently without syncing the crop, they should only check the rotation option when selecting.
